Removing Products and Categories

Products and categories can be removed from the system if they have not been used in any transactions, such as inventory receipt, shipments, invoices, and orders. You can remove products and categories from the administrative webtools interface by following these steps:

  1. Go to Webtools
  2. Click on "Service Reference"
  3. Locate "opentaps.removeProduct" or "opentaps.removeProductCategory" in the list of services and click on it.
  4. Click on "Run Service"
  5. On the next screen you will be prompted for a productId or productCategoryId. Enter the ID of the product or category to be removed and click on [Submit].
