Chart of Accounts Screen

This screen is used to manage the chart of accounts for your organization.

On this screen, you can use the [Create New Account] button to create a new account or [Add Existing Account] to add an existing account to your organization.

The list of chart of accounts will show the top level accounts by default. You can click on:

  • the plus sign (+) next to the account ID to expand an account and see its subaccounts.
  • the account ID to see the account activity
  • [Reconcile] to reconcile the account
  • [Edit] to edit the account's settings
  • [Add Sub Account] to add a subaccount to this GL account
  • [Deactivate] to deactivate this account. Note that the account is not deleted in the system, but rather its association with your organization is removed, so that it can no longer be used until you add it back with [Add Existing Account].
